Saturday 22 Feb

 

2pm   Working Voices Choir

With musical directors
Bernard and Eleanor Carney.

songs of working life, social justice, freedom from oppression, peace, reconciliation and harmony with our environment

 

2.30pm  Junkadelic Brass Band

By re-envisaging ‘Junk’ as a resource for making instruments, Junkadelic are the funky upcyclers of the music world!  

 

Pure Junk –100% pure junk –handmade instruments.Junkadelic

 

Brass Band – Junkadelic percussion section backed by Sousaphone (tuba), Trombone, Trumpet and saxophone.

 

3.30pm  Official Opening

Join Senator Scott Ludlam to open this inaugural event.

 

4.45pm  Greg Hastings

“Wandering Man” Greg has a unique voice, a wealth of songs and stories accompanied by guitar, didgeridoo and his lilting Welsh accent!

 

 

Sunday 23 Feb

 

2pm  B Sharps

This 10-piece kid’s band presents a fun mix of old and new contemporary music. Check out their funky style, great vocals and instruments including marimbas, keyboards, drums, guitars, violin and harmonica.

 

3.30pm  Prizes announced
with MC Lynn MacLaren MLC

 

4pm  Madjitil Moorna

This all-ages community choir sings indigenous music, led by award-winning indigenous musicians. Singing both traditional songs in language and soulful contemporary songs, the group has been winning over audiences since their first performance.
